AUDITIONS: Monday, April 26, 7:00-9:00PM HOLOCAUST MUSEUM HOUSTON 5102 Caroline Houston, Texas 77006
The cast consists of 8 actors, 4 males and 4 females, age range early 20's to mid 50's. African American and Hispanic actors are encouraged to audition. Auditions will consist of a 1 to 2 minute monologues and/or reading from the script. Rehearsals will begin sometime between May10-17. Scripts will be given out as soon as cast, so that actors may be off-book as much as possible when rehearsals begin. Most rehearsals will be held at the Museum, generally from the hours of 6:30PM-9:30PM, Monday thru Thursday, with additional rehearsals on either Saturday or Sunday. The actors will be paid a stipend.
Directed by Artistic Director Joe Watts, Theatre New West's production promises to be a more exciting one, unlike any that have been produced. With live vocals and several dream sequences, and staged to surround the audience in the auditorium at the Holocaust Museum. Performing at the Holocaust Museum carries a great deal of prestige. Theatre New West's production of BENT, presented at the Museum in 2004, SOLD OUT it's run and was brought back the following year.
