Theatre New West Artistic Director, Joe Watts, is accepting submissions from the community that address “coming out stories.” If you think you have an original, unique, compelling, funny, sad, tragic, “coming out” story, he wants to hear from you. The “stories” accepted will be complied and dramatized to form a major production to be produced in the summer of 2010. More than likely it will comprise 12-10 minute stories. Also “songwriters” are asked to contact Joe about the possibility of writing an “original song” for each of the “coming out stories”.
Please email your name and contact info, and a very brief statement about your story, to Joe at theatrenewwest@att.net. Songwriters send your contact info along with any experience you’ve had in writing songs. It’s not improbable that a song you have already written may fit the story.
